Kap Ruk Pooja 2026

Revered by ancient Sinhala tradition, the Kap Ruk (Kalpa Vruksha) symbolizes the wish-fulfilling tree that grants blessings through merit. Inspired by the noble aspiration for Nibbāna, devotees selflessly supported the fourfold Buddhist community, ensuring the four requisites for those striving on the path.

Reviving this heritage of generosity, a Kap Ruk Pooja was held on 28 February 2025 at the sacred grounds of Jetavanarama Buddhist Monastery, offering countless devotees an opportunity to cultivate merit and rejoice in wholesome deeds. May all beings rejoice in this meritorious event.
